on a o2 contract so i need a phone that can just stick the sim in,i need Bluetooth,a camera and good loud ring tones looking to spend about 90 quid, was looking at the Nokia x2-00 but the reviews say the battery's tat and needs charging daily,my old blackberry went like that then died, and was a pain to use

NOT £90 but if your on contract get an iPhone you won't use anything better or easier IMHO mate

If you haven't got an iphone, you haven't got an iphone

htc desire does it for me but youd have to get a new contract for that as well changing to a smart phone is a bit of a learning curve at first but once youve got it its a whole new ball game internet at you fimger tips apps for gas rate torch easy to use calculator emails the list goes on
and if you get a contrat with enough internet you can use it as a modem for a lap top

I got a samsung galaxy s2 last year after my lass kept on at me to get into the 21st century! Clever thing. A mini laptop that phones! I absolutely hated it and gave it to her (that was probably her plan lol)
So i bought a Nokia C2 01. Just a phone that does as it says on the tin: phones.
Battery lasts about 3 days

I got myself a JCB sitemaster. No camera but really loud rintone and very robust. I just wanted something that I wouldn't need to worry about. I've broken several screens on phones when I've lent on them in awkward positions and I really don't want to be doing that to a phone which costs hundreds of pounds. The torch on it is very handy as well, an unexpected benefit.

you can't just put a sim in an iphone as they are smaller! I want one, wifes got one, I won't be getting one, not a techy but as I am nearly 42yo and still 'with it' as I say to my 8yo I think i need one!

you can cut the sim to fit

not really its only plastic,i did mine, you can buy cutters off ebay for a couple of quid

Am considering the IPhone, but new iPhone 5 is due this year & to be completely different.
For those who need to protect their phone from knocks, I hear " Otterbox " cases are good.

take your sim into the phone shop and they will cut it to fit in the iphone, they give you the cut out bit back in case you want to fit it into another normal phone

i have a griffen cover for my iphone, it does make it bigger all round (obviously) but it is superb and gives great coverage, think it was about £25

None better,I would not be able to have a iphone without one, turns it into a very tough mobile

Got my Otterbox after my first iphone died of an overdose of tile adhesive, grout, dust etc, etc. Got a new iphone and the case at the same time, had it on the tools daily for a year. I get the phone out about once a month to clean the case and it is literally as good as new. Downside is I did not have an excuse to get an iphone 4s - doh !

Also got an Ottberbox for the iPad. It tends to live in the van, and the case has protected it from knocks so far.

iPhones too big even without a protective box around it might get one if they bring out a smaller version

well went and bought a nokia x2 today got it for 60 quid,**** me its loud good camera too now where can i get free mp3 ringtones?

i will sugest I phone too , have one and will not change it for any other brand ! Before my current I phone i always had a Nokia

I have a Blackbery Bold but wouldn't recommend one for this job, dirt and grit gets inside and kills the microphone, everytime I get a call its like two deaf old dears on the bus "I can't hear you, say it again"

Also I've lost the internet and email function for some reason, they haven't worked since last October.

Takes a good picture though.

Ive just upgraded my iphone4 to the new nokia lumia 800 (windows phone7), really good phone but miss the gas rate/ventilation calc apps. Maybe one day they will develop them for wp7.

Love my BlackBerry Bold 9780, didnt like the iphone 3 as much as the HTC HD2. That was a very very good phone, but love how easy the Blackberry is, its like the old Nokias were, always the easiest.
Might not have as many apps, but I have my banking, sports, news, weather etc. I dont want anything else. Only so many times a fart app is funny. As for Gas rate etc I prefer to use my sliding rule its nice and easy.

Look into the life cases for iphone, there 100% water proof and on the demmo i saw they wer using the vidio recorder under water,,, looks quality for work

iPhone all the way.

Regular sim card can be placed in a sim card cutter available on eBay and trimmed to fit in the iPhone 4 and 4s.

I'm currently using an iPhone 4 and will be upgrading to 5 when it comes out late this year, decided to not bother with 4 s as its not really a vast upgrade on the 4

Those with iPhone 3Gs and below will be peeved as next software update will not cover their handsets. Apple will finish their support for them on release of iPhone 5.

I'm with 3 and got a free phone with a £35 per month contract. The data coverage is excellent and there is no download limit.

I also use a 3 sim card in my iPad

If it wasn't that i was 6" bigger than him and feeling a bit stressed at the time roaring like a bull who put that stupid f thing there..........i think he might have wanted to hit me

first mobile i had was a alcatel indestructible until i broke the screen in a fit of rage throwing it at the old man, then moved on to the first nokias, they were massive as well, the old man was still using a pager, right up too 1999

i had a motorola brick phone when they first came out, you had to sign up for 18mths & it was £15/ month without calls, then £1/ minute to make calls. if i mind right you had to give 6 mths notice after the 18mths was up to get out the contract. they would'nt get away with contracts like that nowadays.
