Redring powerstream problem

Hi just been called out to a redring powerstream the problem is that the speedfit pipe on the hot side of the unit has split and blown open never seen this before all the ones i have come across have been in copper and the instructions always recommend that. Its 2 months old i have checked the pressure 2.2 bar so not a problem no frost either i have re plumbed in copper and it all seems to be working as it should anyone seen this before / know the cause?

Just thought i would post this in case anyone else has the same problem Low flow through the unit caused the water to be heated up more than it should so i adjusted the flow valve and since then its run as it should.
