Remeha avanta plus 28c fault code E5

Hi guys,
As above, getting this code when in heating mode only. Got all the readings exact with analyser when serviced last week, as it had been doing it before service. Seemed to work alright as tested it. Then had call saying its throwing it up again.
Any ideas. Will be going back tomorrow. Cheers.

Have you tried the following Roy ?

Does it work fine with the case off ?

clean the ionisation pin, ignition electrode

Usually it is wrongly adjusted co2 check flue terminal clear however also gas supply ok /gas pipe sizing correct and working pressure at boiler ok even when other appliances on/in use

Had one intermittently going to e4 the other week,turned out gas isolation at meter not fully open and when gas cooker used pressure drop caused fault

Could be electrode requires cleaning or changing, also check inner burner seal, available as a service kit, electrode & allburner seals

replace the ignition electrode and the ignition box, that will sort it , had that a lot in the preston area

Hi, was wondering how you got on in the end with that Remeha Avanta boiler showing the E5 fault. I have one starting to do the same thing. I changed the electrode and corrected the O2/co2 ratio but still not firing occasionally. Left it working on Friday and the customer said he would contact me again on Monday (hopefully with good news!!). Any help would be appreciated.

how did you guys get on with the E5 fault? Ive had one recently, done everything it says from checking the co ratio etc, ionisation etc...spoke to remeha and they say its the gasket in the main burner which my local parts centre can only sell me in packs of 20 from the manufacturer...and i dont envisage getting another 19 remeha E5 faults!

Hi I have had this error lots of times and every time I have replaced the ignition transformer and it's sorted the problem
