Hi guys soon i am going to need to remove a cast iron stack and reconnect where make the cut.

Any tips on the best way to do this?

What's the best way to connect back on to it once it's been cut?

Thanks

Up to you.. you can cut out Section or just cut out the whole lot. But be very careful and assure you have it well supported And Cut in sections.. I was doing one last week. Had to add a toilet to a bathroom and had to add to the cast stack and left the section which went through a flat roof, cut through with an angle grinder which had me stunk of "bitumen"for the new access and broke with the hammer.. but be very careful (dead sharp) and shards ..so wear a good pair of gloves and goggles and not to get any debris falling into the old stack. An easy way is to cut out a section first and block with a large cloth or bag. Then just "crack on"

If you have a couple of old minging quilts then pack them under the
impact area - damage limitation - then take them home again
dont tell mrs and put the quilt back in the covers !!!! CHK
be carefull cutting it, start at top n work down,

safety glasses, gloves a must 🙂
