Hi all, great forum.

I am looking for some support/ advice. I have just moved into a old house that is running off a worcester greenstar cdi combi. I think it is a 40, quite a big unit!!

The issue I have is there is no room thermostat anywhere in the house and the boiler is just running until the preset CH temp is reached , currently no 5 on the manual dial.

The boiler is fitted with an optional Dt20rf controller which I believe can synch with an RF thermostat.

I have just purchased a

with the idea of just synching the wireless unit not realising that there is a a reciever which is required to be hard wired in first before use. I have undone the phillips screw and dropped down the worcester control unit and found 2 brown connectors. Are these the 2 wires that are connected to the Reciever obviously not including the live/ neutral feed.

Many thanks
Adrian

You will have to get the correct remote thermostat for this boiler or wire the one you have in the remote controller terminals provided on main boiler terminals

If it is fitted with a DT20rf they have lost the stat as it comes as a package.
More likely to be a DT20 programmer. You can tell the difference by looking on the back of it which means you have to remove it. RF model part numbers ends in 669, programmer ends in 665

Easiest is to swap it for a DT10rf (digistat or optimiser, 2 different models) which has a programmable room stat. Or a MT10 which is mechanical and easier to understand.
The receiver will just plug in in place of the original and fit the stat where you like.
