P

Puddle

Season of good will and cheer

Not down at the post office,it's rip off Britain as usual

Got a card through letter box yesterday, saying item to pick up,so off I pops

Only to find the item was a christmas card sent from a business I deal with and although a second class stamp attached ,they required an extra £1.22,not a lot I know,if you forget time I had just wasted going to depot

Anyway, thinks, must be extra weight, maybe they have sent me a few goodies but no the card weighed less than the envelope, the typical cheap rubbish card sent from one business to another at xmas,so you can test out the new paper shredder

The amount of extra revenue the royal mail gets from people sending silly, meaningless, cheap cards through the post this time of year, you would think they would be happy, they are the only ones who benefit, but no greed is a self engulfing thing, well stick your £ 1.22 up were the sun don't shine

No,the reason there was an extra charge was because it was 183mm square and apparently max 180mm !!! on a second class mail delivery, well you live and learn,as did the two others in there, with same problem
:censored:

This scam must be raking in the royal mail in millions and I like the way they will not let you see the item, until you have paid !!

So more and more folk will be sending e cards or hand deliver through relatives and royal mail will loose in the long run and they will be crying to everyone again but in the mean time ,I hope you all choke on your extra £1.22 you are ripping folk off !!

Maybe they should be putting humbugs on the counter
:90:Strange how little things like this really bug me,I can go to a job and loose a lot more and waste more time and say that,s life, swings and roundabout's,move on

Think maybe as the above is like a irritation you just can not be bothered to scratch !!

its a joke, my post office let me see some letters i have been sent by a company who consistently 'forget' to put a stamp on

They let me send it back to them though for free?

So i can take it off there hands now and they do no more work but want £1+

or they can go to the trouble of putting it back in the system and back to the sender for naff all?

But i understand something must be done to stop people sending it with out a stamp

I don't do Xmas cards, they're pointless.

If I see you regularly then I'll wish you a happy christmas, if I don't see you then your quite clearly not that important to me and vice versa so you don't get a card.

HUMBUG!

we have relatives in america, we like to send small gifts rather than money at christmas and more often than not the cost to post is very much more than the gift cost in the first place.

I had a rep from a Plumbers merchant (who shall remain nameless but it starts with Plumb) send me a copy of their new catalogue, a price list of boilers and an application for a credit account, all without a stamp.. Thanks mate!! you know what you can do with your company...

Get your own back, get a really big envelope put a 1p stamp on it, address it to royal mail's main headquarters, put on the front important information enclosed. Inside the big envelope put a small christmas card with the message- they say size does'nt matter & since your paying, they must be right. merry christmas.

There's no postage payable when posting something to the post office - so you'd be losing out on your 1p!!
