Hi guys I'm after some opinions. I'm in the process of renewing my bathroom and currently installing concealed bath mixer taps and deck mounted shower head. I've not come across it before but the deck mounted shower head has what I can only describe as a catch tank to collect any water that manages to get through the hole that the shower hose disappears in to. So getting on to my question. The shower hose is supplied with rubber washers but once the kit and bath is installed there would be no easy way to access the end of the shower hose that is attached to the outlet from the wall behind the bath. My concern is that a rubber washer will perish over time and start leaking so I'm thinking of using a fibre washer in its place. Any pros and cons anyone can think Of? Hope that all makes sense and look forward to your opinions.

Isn't there some sort of trim plate supplied to cover where the hose goes into the wall and allow access in the future?

KOP is 100% correct.

Best I've seen is a hard piped extension DOWN to floor level with the hose connected to that. It was a stretch to change the hose, but it ended up a £90 job rather than a £1000 bath out job...

IMHO it's a complete NO BRAINER and PERFECT advice 😎
