Hi guys,

ive fitted a few of these salus wireless stats with no problem. however i fitted one a few weeks ago and the customer was saying the morning timer would not always kick the heating in. i replaced the unit yesterday and set up the times myself but apparently the heating didnt kick in again this morning. im at a total loss with this one. im thinking of just scrapping the salus and putting a vaillant wireless stat in and cutting my losses. The customer said the plug in unit on the boiler had a fast red led flashing but even salus technical guys had no idea what that meant.

Does anyone have any ideas or is this user error? it worked perfectly when i tested it out. :S

loads of issues stopped using salus 3 years ago wont fit anything by salus ever again cheap,unreliable tat MHO
 
Cheers Gas Man. ive fitted about 15 of these units with no problems. then 2 in a row. i think ill stop using salus just because their technical dept were clueless.
thats what i found,technical was clueless had about 30 fitted then every one bar 1 i think failed worked for 6-12 months then died
 
salus are awful controls not to mention hideous and difficult for the end user to opperate. HATE HATE HATE them.
 
crikey, our local merchants started selling them about 12 months ago saying they were the bees knees, guess i should have asked on here first lol
just remember if you supplied it,you end up paying for your time in callbacks,not salus they wont want to know been fitting honeywell since did have a 7 day prog RF stat die after 2 years but thats rare all the others have been great
 
1. Warranty terms
Your statutory rights are not affected by the terms of DELTA DORE’s warranty.
DELTA DORE products have the benefit of a contractual warranty starting on the date of purchase ofthe products, and whose duration is stated below. In case of non production of the sale invoice, the warranty period is considered to have started at the date of manufacture shown on the products.
To activate the warranty, the purchaser must, at its own expense and risk, send the product concerned in its original packaging or, in default, in similar packaging, together with the sale invoice to its retailers/distributor.
Under this warranty, DELTA DORE shall, at its option and after examination of the item concerned in the claim, replace any product acknowledged to be defective with an identical or similar product, or repair it, and shall not pay any damages covering direct, indirect or consequential losses.
Loss of use of the product during After-Sales Service shall not be compensated.
The warranty applies provided the product has been handled properly for its intended use and in accordance with the operation instructions.
In case of replacement, the warranty will continue from the date of original purchase.


2. Warranty ExclusionsThe warranty does not cover for the losses consequent in nature.
Exclusions to the warranty include:
a) Products with a specific manufacturer’s warranty.
b) The products is being used for commercial purpose.
c) normal wear and tear of the product, or any negligence or improper or non-compliant use, modification or repair of the products by the purchaser.
d) service calls following :
− accidental damage (lightning, sudden voltage variations, etc),
− modifications made to the equipment other than in DELTA DORE premises, especially modification or change of the specifications if such modification or change was requested by the purchaser
− handling or connection errors during assembly,
− damage following breakage or impact, and
− generally, any abnormal use or use other than that for which the equipment was made.
e) The products does not function properly because it was not originally designed, manufacture, approved and/or authorizes for the country where you use the products
f) batteries and accumulators.

DELTA DORE shall not in any circumstances accept liability for commissioning of an alarm installation.
3. Warranty for non-DELTA DORE products

Technical liability for products sold for a manufacturer is limited to that of a distributor and may not be substituted for that of the manufacturer. In such case, the warranty and repair are the liability of the manufacturer.
4. Warranty period

DELTA DORE’s warranty runs for a period of 24 months.

If your experiencing problems pop in to your local merchants and get the number for the salus sales man take him to the property and let him deal with the on going issue.
 
When did you call the Technical help? I spoke to them recently and they told me that it had just lost sync...took 2 mins to sync them up and all is good
