Roon aboot the roonaboot
took some crap down the scrappies today, I had a small cylinder and a copper back boiler, the back boiler felt like double the weight of the cylinder but they both came up at 7kg ?

What size was the cylinder? A grade 3 indirect 30x18" I had a few weeks ago was exactly 10kilo which would have been about £43. I sometimes weigh a few things & get an idea of total weight.
Maybe the back boiler felt heavier than the cylinder because it was smaller?

one where i go sometimes has scales that only weigh in 500g increments thieving so and so's. next time i'm weighing it first grrr.

I once took some copper alloy rads from several air con units. Took the exact same amount back a few hours later and got different prices and weights for them. That was on electronic scales, defo dodgey alot of the scrap yards

As times are tight, some may have converted to days of old. Where manual scales could be doctored with a small magnet. By palming the magnet and placing it on the counter balance arm, as required. Had the ability to lower the reading of the scales and increase profit.
