Been working out in the middle of nowhere. Called up late monday afternoon to get the shower tray fixed into position. Went back up this morning, got there about ten, to core through for bath and basin wastes. No sign of builder, straight upstairs with my gear into the bathroom. Sets up my core and start drilling. Left my drink in the van and as I turn round I notice the box with the shower in isnt there. Strange, but thought somebody had moved it. Anyway back in from the van, thought I would stick the radio on. Radio not there. Hmmmmm. Straight outside and the boiler room door has been prised open. Gonads. Phones builder to ask if he was there Tuesday, nope, so tells him the score. He comes straight up. I've lost 1 shower, 1 milwaukee radio, 6 trvs complete with lock shields, 4 manual rad valves, 2 washing machine valves, 2 manual air vents and 2 lengths 22mm copper. Builders lost 2 new makita battery drills, makita radio and customers mattress wrapped up in outside shed.

Builders already said he will pay for my losses. Police about as much use as a chocolate fire gsurd.. But if I get my hands on them I'll wring their knecks.

Sorry to hear that. I have got a bit paranoid about thieves & I won't ever leave anything in a new or renovated house, even if I was coming back in a few hours. I have just been at a course & emptied the van virtually completely. All anyone would have got was cheap bits like ptfe rolls.

had that done on a new build before. My builder wasnt as understanding as yours.
I had to cover the cost of a few bundles of tube, boiler, rads and a cylinder.

As some of you may have read, I had my van done over four weeks ago, and lost close on 3 grands worth of tools. Insurance has only just got back to me say they are happy to pay out...big of them isnt it.

Yep, builders been spot on about it. Says it was his responsibility for it to be secure. Told him im not bothered about the radio.

Im sorry to here that simon we graft our arses off . N when some f*kin junk yard scum thinks its ok to try n build there dole up a bit gets on my tit$. Thiefs should loose a testical everytime the steal. Then it would be a good population control..... hope u get them back simon and HOPE u find the tinks.... came out last monday morning to find a dent in side door of van reported it went to merchants bought 3 lengthgs of polastic went to van and found the tube rack was gone i think they must have back a truck up against the side of van while they unbolted the tube rack and clipped thye van as they drove of
