Self Sealing Rad Tails

View the thread, titled "Self Sealing Rad Tails" which is posted in Central Heating Forum on UK Plumbers Forums.

Just bought some lockshield valves that have self sealing tails. Is is necessary to use loctite 55 or similar on the threads or can the installed seal be trusted?

Thanks

Yes use a seal as well because not all threads are as tight as they ought to be, tolerances vary especially with worn machinery and dodgey imports
