Servicing Schedule for Valliant EcoTec Plus 824

Hello

I had a Valliant EcoTec PLus 824 installed coming up two years ago and it will need a service shortly. I am unable to get the original company to do the service as they have relocated. I do have another plumber but my question is will a plumber who doesn't install Valliant be able to do the service correctly. I have heard these boilers need special attention with a gasket inspection or something similar? And if it isn't changed regularly long term damage can be the result?

It doesn't need any special attention. Any gas safe engineer can service it....

A Gas safe engineer should service it as per MI. They can always download the manual if they don't have one to hand.

don't be too concerned by hearsay vaillant do have some set service ideas the general items which they list are annual others are at regular intervals not necessarily annual we tend not to discuss these as they are not set in stone conditions affect them however the engineer will find the date of manufacture in the serial no and will be able to know the length of time between renewing parts some seals on vaillants are up to five years
