Hi guys. fitted a 30kw combi in a newbuild. the boiler was converted to lpg and has been running on constant 24/7 to the underfloor circuits,

question is its been running for about a month non stop and the lpg tank has run out. its a fairly big tank buried outside (i didnt install it so have no idea of the size but think it had 15000 ltrs or somet put in it. its probably about the size of a medium size van at a guess,

anyway. the thing is the tank is empty now. its only been a month. does this sound right to you guys? i set the gas valve to lpg settings as per MI. just wondered if it should have used a full tank already.

A 30kw LPG boiler will burn approx 2.4kg/hr (which = 4.764 litres/hr) at full rate.
720 hrs in a month x 4.764 = 3430 litres. It is impossible to go through 15000 litres in a month unless there is a leak.

Get it checked.

I have a Vailliant 18kw lpg boiler and I get thru about 100lts a week in the winter time, not on 24/7 only on for a few hours in the evening (5.30 till 10.00) and an hour in the morning.

Tbh If I had knowen what a pain lpg was I would have fitted oil.
