shower tray flow

went to price a job. the existing shower and 4 body was a working off a pressurised system.
the tray was quite deep about 75mm and 1400 x 800mm.
They could not use the body jets and even with just the head on the tray filled and overflowed.
I have priced for fitting a standard low profile tray with a 90mm waste and 50mm fast flow waste and pipework. I will be running the pipework straight out with maybe one sweeping bend bossed into the soil stack.
they are keeping the existing shower and body jets.
It looks like the old system T`d into the 1 1/4 basin waste.
will this be enough to stop the tray overflowing.

A new waste pipe in 1.1/2" with a 90mm trap bossed into the stack will be a spot on job.
As it is at the mo, it shouldn't be T'd into the basin waste but being 1.1/4" wouldn't make a great deal of difference to the flow, i would suspect it maybe partially blocked. Also if a vortex trap is being used at the mo this could be the problem, they rely on a build up of water then suddenly flow....but never tend to work very well.

thanks for that, never witnessed the shower overflow but she is willing to change after only having it fitted 2 years ago so must be telling the truth.
was a bit worried because the existing tray is deep and still overflows, the new one i`m fitting is standard with this special 90mm hole for a fast flow waste to be fitted.
you think 50mm waste and pipework is OTT.
