Just been to price a solar thermal system the customer already has solar PV usal story high pressure sales spiel, he calculated how much they would produce, what they would earn with fits etc he didn't even look at the roof and assumed it was south facing when the installation team arrived it turns out the roof is east facing with shading issues they installed 3 extra panels at no cost but how can they sell a system and estimate its output without checking the roof ffs!.

Should the site survey not be part of the SOP in the QMS for MCS?

I would have thought so makes you wonder how they get away with it and it shows what a pointless excercise MCS is..

because they have no idea. the people who sell it are salespeople not installers. they guess. the only courses they have done is on sales but people fall for it

To be honest you guys already know how I feel more importantly how do you feel and what are you gonna do about it because times are hard right now how do you think its gonna be this time next year!!!!!!!!!!!!

If they where MCS, then they have obviously failed a critical element of their QMS, so should have their accreditation revoked. Simple in my world! 🙂 🙂

They are MCS they quoted £17,500 for a 1.8 kw install the custard declined they dropped the price to £10.500 2 weeks later installed in 1 day with the extra panels custard is over the moon as they are recieving fits and think they got a cheap install:shocked:
