Solvent weld glue on pipe/fitting

I was just interested if people put solvent weld on both the pipe and fitting or just the pipe when glueing overflow/condensate pipe.

A bit yes, depends on how much you’re applying

The back of the bottle says do both.

I just do the female fitting on external black pipe to prevent the white discoloured mess that appears a few years later
