Hi I'm new on here hoping someone can help me with a problem. Had 1st fix done then the Mrs decided she wanted a bath which wasn't in the plans. Having paid for it once I decided to re-jig the 1st fix myself, all was going well until today!
I have run the sink and bath waste into vertical (internal) soil stack using two strap on bosses. I haven't used these before but it seemed easy enough. I solvent welded the strap, adapter/insert and pipe and all seemed to go well.....until I tested them. Only thing I can think is I used a 57mm holesaw the guy at the plumbers merchants thought it was either a 55mm or 57mm hole but said 57mm would be fine I guess that is the problem? It was an aquaflow boss. It leaves me two options I think.
1) There now isn't any room on the vertical stack. Can I use the horizontal soil waste pipe that comes off it and use a boss (ideally correctly this time) to attached the 32mm and 40mm wastes into the top of it?
2) Bring the waste pipes down through the ceiling below (internal garage) and connect to the soil stack lower down. This would be a pain as the garage ceiling has to be a fire break and I haven't got builders regs signed off yet.
I've attached a photo to make it easier to understand the probs. The waste at the bottom is the shower waste which is fine (not done by me!), the two above are the leaking ones. Where the soil waste comes up at the 90 elbow I will cut it and use a 110mm straight coupler to extend the pipe along to give me enough room to add in the two new wastes. It needs to move that way anyway.
Also should I just cut and cap off the 32mm and 40mm waste pipes coming out of the bosses that leak?
Any help/advise would be massively appreciated, cheers.
