Hi, with the new laws starting regarding CO Alarms, is there a way of testing that they work other then pushing the test button ? all this is doing is telling you that the alarm works, But how can you test if the sensors are working !! Is there anything on the market at a reasonable price, that can be discharged around the alarm to test sensors CO in a can for example, smoke alarms are easy to do,

I gues we just have to trust the sensor life span... Like when they say 7 years...
Surely if we keep testing them with real co then the sensors would die!? Surely they should be replaced if they activate anyway?

Just don't breathe it in 😛

or use one of these

All's you can do is push the button, I would replace every 2/3 years anyway even if it dose state 7 for the low cost i'd rather have a new one

Just test as manufacturers instructions. No instructions available or date on the alarm then throw it away and charge +200% for a new one.
