Anyone out there with a gas fire who thinks it doesent need servicing think again this was in a bedroom no oxysafe and no catchment area fire was full of debris

it had already been capped by BG
SMALL ROOM WITH NO VENTS HOW IT DIDNT KILL THEN ILL NEVER KNOW

Always amazes me the amount who call for a Combi service but wont entertain a gas fire service on arrival.
Even though after exhaustive explanation that it the one that will kill.

I'm more concerned about your lack of floor protection.

They'd get another 5 years before that needs a service.

I've seen worse then that with a "serviced by" sticker filled out and up,to date on it.

the immortal words " the other guy never took that out"

Inadequate catchment space, no closure tape, the debris came from somewhere, so the wiff is probably shot.

when will custards realise that nice new condensing boilers need servicing, however, an old open flued fire is far more dangerous if something is not right??
