Hi there, I'm looking for someone in the Birmingham (Erdington) to replace the thermistor sensors on a optima 901. The main burner fires up after switching the dhw on but shortly shuts off and on intermittently. this has been diagnosed by people of this user forum and an ex heating engineer, familiar with the 901 system.
If interested please leave a quote.
Plus I'm considering installing a wireless thermostat. An indication on price for installation would be appreciated and may be included in the job.
Thanks

hey jamoralie, it can be difficult diagnosing from afar, we all can give you likely causes, but nothing can substitute being in front of a boiler with meter to measure components. I'm in South Brum if you are still interested. Perhaps it's all been sorted?

Hi roryd
thanks for your response, guess I should apologise for not updating my original post.

I have actually had someone round who did the work requested which fixed the problem but shortly after blew the flow meter! I was gutted because after replacing that and now about £180 down we found a leak.

The moral I guess is knowing where to stop being cheap 🙂

Anyway got a new Worcester Bosch installed and everything is tik-a-de-boo.

Thanks again for your response
