Thermo mixer - what does photo show is the problem?

oh crap.

well, so in addition to fixing the TMV i now need to swap the wood!

What do you think, should i double it up, and take the risk that it may at some point swell (likely?) or rip down and re-build?

To be honest, take it out & replace with marine ply. More expensive but you will have peace of mind.

Hi guys,

so, i ripped out the wood and replaced with ply. I went to the local Plumbase to get some Loctite 55 (which is £2.99 on Screwfix) and they wanted £12.50 for the same 50m - WHAT A RIP OFF PLUMBASE IS!

So i settled with hemp and Boss White instead from my friendly local guy in West Norwood.

All seems fine right now.
