Today I had an inspection not off gas safe but off my ha inspector. I fitted some parts on the boiler checked it all was working ok, working pressure gas rated fga'd boiler all working fine.
He said are you going to do a tt I said no as I haven't broken into the gas and there has been no smell of gas reported. He then said but you have done a working pressure on the appliance so need to do a tt! I argued with him a little bit saying LDF is satisfactory and I haven't broken a joint so no need to carry out tt. He was shaking his head so I said ok ill do one then.
Is he right? If that's the case every time I do a service I have to do a tt which I always thought was not the case.
It could of course just be a case of him wanting to see me do a tt as I never from my 2 jobs before as I never touched the boiler.
