Towel Rad Inadequate

My question is, are the upright radiators efficient or are they as much use as a towel rail for heating.

I have 4 of these in locations where space is tight:

Ultraheat - Tilbrook

In my research some verticals had very poor heat outputs per m2 of wall area. The above were the best *I* could find - and I'm pleased with them. Not cheap mind... Also note - both pipes must be bottom entry on those.
