Hi Everyone,

I was recently given a US made Speakman shower head which fits onto a Speakman shower arm. I am currently renovting my flat which includes a full re plumb and I'd like to fit them both.

Speakman S-2540 Neo 7-Inch Shower Arm and Flange, Polished Chrome - Single Handle Shower Only Faucets - Amazon.com

My plumber will pipe up the flat using standard UK pipework and connections. Is it possible to buy a converter to screw onto the end of the pipe so that I can install the Speakman shower arm? The size of the shower arm inlet as listed on Amazon is '1/2" NPTM inlet.'

Thanks in advance for your help.

I should clarify that the thread pattern used in this country is called British Standard Pipe (BSP).

Also, the only problem I can think of with this solution is space. Hopefully your wall or surface is deep enough to accommodate the fittings. If not your plumber may have to bring the wall out a bit to allow for it.

Thanks for that. I'm going to buy that part. eBay gives me 4 options for Male thread and 4 options for female thread npt. Which option do I need to select? Thanks very much for your help on this!
