I have a Vaillant boiler flue going out to the back of the house from the kitchen. Between the back wall is a gap of about 5 feet to a tall garden wall. It is my intention to create an outdoor storage room between this gap, with decking over the top.

However, where the decking would hit the back of the house wall, straight across from the garden wall, would be directly onto the boiler flue. I have looked into moving the flue from the back to the side of the house, however because of pipework this cannot be done.

My question is, am I able to put an extension kit for the flue that covers both the outer and air flow intake? As I see it the extension flue would rise about 6 feet vertically. At first I thought a plume displacement kit would work, but the flow intake would essentially be within the outside storage room, and Vaillant said this would not be possible. Is this also correct? Is an extension kit for both the outer and air flow intake the only way. There are windows etc on the back of the house.

Thanks in advance.

You'll need to be gassafe reg'd to do anything with the flue mate
If you're not, get one in as there are all sorts of regs to adhere to

You will need a gas safe registered engineer to assess this and advise accordingly

Yes I wouldn't be doing it, but is it possible? Is using an extension kit going to overcome the issues?
