Vaillant Ecotec Pro 24 - timer issues

Hi

I have just moved into a renovated flat that has a new Vaillant Ecotec Pro 24 installed.

On the timer dial I am able to set the clock in the centre, but it does not seem to work (i.e. it stays at the same time) so I cannot use the heating on Timer setting - does anyone know how I can get the clock working?

The heating is comes on fine if I just switch it to 'On'.

Another valliant common fault,new time clock front unit required,the old just pulls out and new one plugs in.not expensive
