How do you go about putting a vertical flue up through a roof where you cant get a roof ladder to hook over anything.

They have a vertical flue in now and it's on a pitched roof but a side one if you get what I mean.

I'm guessing scaffold up then unsure what to do next.

Scaffolding probably mate. Any pics of the pitched roof?

I was going to take a couple of photos got chatting to the customers and forgot.

I'm planning on getting scaffolding up to gutter height. It's the actual going up the roof I cant get my head round as i cant hook a ladder over the ridge.

And you can’t do this?

When they are awkward like that i just tell them they need to organise a roofer or scaffolder. Scaff is pricey and can be left up for weeks after plus likely hood of wrecking their beloved flower bed etc etc .

Put the onus on them

Like this on the side that you cant hook a roof ladder over.

It's on a 2 storey house so I think scaffolding to get up there then something to run up the roof.

Is there a chimney too?

Can then do it using climbing ropes/ harness etc - I have a mate for those jobs whose hobby is mountain climbing.

Tough one then, cheapest of scaffold and cherry picker - if you can get one near enough.

If similar cost cherry picker is more fun!
