Just wondering if anyone as ever had a gas valve fail on one of these? I've been working on one today where the pilot light would not stay lit and went out as soon as I released the button. I changed the thermocouple and the interrupter stat all to no avail so that only leaves the gas valve. Rung Vokera and the guy said he'd never heard of the valve failing but it was always a possibility.
Any advice most welcome.

Nothing lasts forever🙂 Test t/c for voltage produced (30vdc) if that's okay temp connect it straight into valve if you can. Pilot still not holding then deffo the valve. Had loads of honywell grey button valves fail to hold TBH 🙂

Agree with dg, have had gas valves fail due to age ( mag unit inside gas valve no longer magnetic) hence why it will not hold the t/c

Definitely getting good pilot flame?

As per diamondgas, don't recall having change excell gas valve, but had change other grey buttons on other boilers due the thermoelectric device not holding.

that should have been 30mvdc ... Millivolts 🙂 what was the outcome I wonder ?

Thanks for the advice fellas, I ordered a new gas valve but before I got chance to install it the customer decided on a new boiler
