hi there, just moved into house fitted with above combie, CH works well no probs here, but when i turn on a hot tap, boiler ignites and heats the water fine then cycles on and off, unable to get constant hot water, previous owner says boiler has always done this since installation, is there something i can do or adjust to solve this problem, otherwise boiler works very well, thanks for any replies

DHW temperature sensor to start with

agree with above or plate to plate or BP , if the heating is ok i suspect it could be a GSR job due

hi gasmarc, many thanks, the heating is perfect, no boiler noises or anything, like most people i only want to be forearmed, previous boiler was baxi bermuda, back boiler, 23 years troublefree, just introduced to the world of combies and probably spending money allready, can you please explain your abbreviations. would i be better with a vokera tech or would any repair man resolve the problem

any decent Gas Safe Engineer will suss it out, burner pressure was what I ment

If the burner is cycling/going up & down quickly on dhw on the linea it's the ignition box on the gas valve.

Run the hot water, turn the boiler reset knob quickly from off to back on, and watch the temprature display, if it shoots up into the 90's your plate heat exchanger is blocked.

Alspeed ,if you just opened and closed the tap would that not have the same effect ? my monies on it being a GSR job
