hi all,
I have been asked for a quotation to remove hot and cold water storage tanks, remove bath and install a shower, (electric shower existing)
the water heater would be fitted in the bathroom located on the first floor and feed the wash basin it would also have to feed the sink on the ground floor using existing 15mm pipe.
this property is a holiday cottage so could be unoccupied for several weeks at a time.

i recently installed a 50L Heatrae Sadia Multipoint Electrical water heater, was feeding 3 basins and a kitchen sink. The water heater alone cost around £900.

these water heaters are fed off the mains, and come with pressure reducing valves, so you can have the water coming out of the hot and cold taps at the same pressure at around 2.5 bar. So 15mm pipe would be fine.

but i would say one at around 15-20L would probably do if it is only one basin and a sink. Have a look on the Heatrae Sadia website and you'll see the specs of different sized water heaters.

Is the shower just going to be electric ? then all you need is a cold feed.

But you need to be qualified to fit unvented hot water systems, if you didn't do it at college, then you would have to sit a course and get the qualification.

thanks for the reply,
the existing shower is electric so the water heater is only for the bathroom wash basin and the sink in the kitchen. I will have a look on the Heatrae Sadia website for a suitable product.
