Noticed this today, no visible sign of leak from the gauge externally but leaking or has leaked internally as you can see.

Will ask my plumber to replace the gauge but is this at risk of leaking / bursting with water coming out of it?

Thanks… presumably I should be safe until after the bank holiday? I am curious as to what has caused this.

It looks like part of the water meter fit. You should get in touch with the Anglian Water Service if you have a problem with thier gear. They should check it and if it is faulty they will replace it for free.

If you get a standard plumber to touch it both you and the plumber will be in big trouble from the water board.

Hope this helps.

I had the gauge removed today, and as you can see, there is some corrosion inside. Now capped off.
