friend of mine has moved into a new house and has been refused a meter the stopcock on the pavement is only 300mm from the two just inside her boundary one of which obviously feeds under her property to the next door house
does anyone know if she can have an internal one fitted.I have in the past fitted internal ones in shops but a while ago at that time thames water supplied the meter for us to fit
anyone got any recent experience?

they want access so now tend to go for an internal meter with the ability to read it externally via a readout or some clever means, or just shout at the provider to grow some and send out an inspector to have a proper look at the situation and come up with a proposal, after all its her right to have a meter and they have to provide even if they have to separate out the 2 supplies to the boundary which isnt hard.

Water rates for me was £24 per month, now on a meter in a new house its £47. And cos my front gutter gets flirted onto the garden i get a surface water charge..Gotta love England..!
