Hi to all.
I have just moved into a new property, switched on the central heating and no heating or hot water. Checked the pump and it's boiling hot, can't touch it for more than second. The pump is a Wilo gold 50. I unscrewed the centre screw and the blades are spinning freely. I then noticed the valve entering the pump from above was closed, opened and heating all sorted. But the pump is still roasting hot, reading up I thought the pump would go warm as water is now flowing. I just want to make sure that no damage can come to the pump.
Also one of the rads furthest away from the boiler on the same level as boiler is not working, I have bleed the rad but nothing still cold, had same problem with another one but after bleeding it worked fine.
And finally one of the rad hisses like crazy to the point that it's very annoying, have tried adjusting the thermostats on the rad but it's still hisses, just sounds like air constantly traveling around the rad. Can I do anything to fix this, this rad is the closest to the boiler.
Rads are controlled via one thermostat on the wall.
Any help to the above would be great and many thanks in advance.
kind regards
Paolo
