Hi Guys,

I'm new on here, and would really appreciate any advice.

We have a W/Bosch 24i Junior boiler installed, its approx 7years old and so had it serviced last week from a W/Bosch engineer, he said all is working fine. So on the weekend we had the gas inspection done and hesr informed us the emissions were extremely high and we should replace the boiler asap and he would not be issuing a certificate for it. After a good clean again of the exchanger and burner yesterday; we had it tested again and the level had decreased but were still alarmingly high. The burner pressure was reduced to 10.2.

I would very much appreciate any advice in regards to this problem, it could save us spending £1,000+. The technical dept of W/B have said replace the burner and also check the flue for blockage..

Any ideas please?

Much appreciated

Chana

hi, tell your gas safe heating engineer to follow the advise from worcester. We do not on this forum give advise on boiler repairs unless you are a gas safe registered engineer.

if your engineer wants advise he/she can join the forum pass the checks and test to prove he/she is gas safe registered and ask away.

welcome to the forum.

I think you need get second opinion from reputable engineer.
I think it would be extremely unlikely a 7 year old Junior would need replacing.
