I have a traditional British bathroom sink with 2 separate taps for cold and hot water. I need a bridge mixer tap for it. The problem is I only seem to find ones with 180mm tap connection centres, while mine needs 200mm. IS there hope?

Hi, I have a new build property with 2 en-suites with showers. After running the shower for a short or long time and turning off, the shower drain starts to gurgle for around 20 to 30 seconds. Both shower drains go to a soil stack with an AAV in the loft. Removing the AAV does not change the...

Was wondering if anyone could help please. I've got an Aqualisa Lumi 10.5kw shower at home and it's no longer producing hot water. I've had it 4 years and it's now started doing this. Just wondered if anyone had any experience of this shower and how to fix the issue? Warranty ran out after 3...

Hello I recently had a new cylinder install. The temperature at the basin sinks is between 56-58C and is far too hot to use. Is there a legal maximum that is applicable for domestic properties? What should the temperature be for basin sinks? Thanks.

We have an Aqualisa Quartz shower that was installed three years ago. Recently, the pressure seems to be lower than it used to be, and you can almost feel it starting to splutter. We descaled the shower head and have also followed advice on the Aqualisa FAQs to run the shower cold and gradually...

My plumber have installed the Grohe Grohtherm Smart Control system in my shower (actually, 2 systems in 2 showers). After ruling out other possibilities, I came to the conclusion that using this system causes the hot water in the water tank to run out too quickly (the hot water runs out after...

Hi all, I'm having an issue with the cold tap in my upstairs bathroom. There is barely a trickle of water coming out, while the hot water tap is running fine. I'm not having any problems with any other cold taps in my house. A Google search suggests that there may be an airlock in the system...

Hi, My aunt asked me to have a look at her Geberit cistern which recently has suddenly stopped flushing on the short flush button. Long flush works normally as far as I can tell. This is the flush mechanism (the label suggests PN 7074-98) , please excuse the mess: Took the whole thing...

Hi Guys, Seeking advice. I have a Triton Combi HP (8000/9000) mixer shower, which is giving thermostatic and cross flow issues. I can confirm cold back flowing into hot, because the hot feed is ice cold. I have 3 of these identical showers, and the hots are much warmer than the colds on the...

I have a stone resin shower tray which is, admittedly, more than ten years old and I have noticed a line of small blisters that have formed under the surface as shown in the picture. They are each only a few millimetres but their alignment alongside one of the tray contours makes me think it’s...

Hi, I'm trying to remove a knackered old Ideal Standard top fitted soft close seat but it won't budge. It looks like there are Allen bolts inside each of the metal barrels, but they won't move and the key is slipping. Short of taking a hacksaw to it, is there something I'm missing?
