flexis
The flexi disc (also known as a phonosheet, Sonosheet or Soundsheet, a trademark) is a phonograph record made of a thin, flexible vinyl sheet with a molded-in spiral stylus groove, and is designed to be playable on a normal phonograph turntable. Flexible records were commercially introduced as the Eva-tone Soundsheet in 1962, and were very popular among children and teenagers and mass-produced by the state publisher in the Soviet government.
Hi all,
WRAS approved Tap tail's (flexi's) - how do you distinguish the high quality ones from the crap ones.
What do you look for? What are the signs?
Then - where can I source HQ ones?
Good to be back,
L.
Anyone know who stocks flexible hoses for gas hobs (where MIs allow)
I disconnected one today on a new build that had strange looking orange hose that was leaking and realised I dont know what type of flexi is actually suitable for a hob

My bathroom has had solid copper pipes to all the taps, but my plumber is replacing it with flexi, after i asked for them to replace the stuff.

Hi, can anyone tell me how I would connect a m10x1 flexible hose to a polyplumb type fitting? I haven't started yet as I want to try and get as much info before I start. The old copper tail pipe in the picture is 15mm.
Before I thought about posting this I was going to get two 15mm shut off...
I was first fixing a bathroom today and the fellas mother asked me if I was going to be using flexi connections to the radiator, I was quite confused at first but then she explained that her other son had just had his hole house done and they used white flexi's on every rad?
As far as I'm...
Hi,
I have TREVI 45 TWIN 3.b bar shower pump connected to a water tank and obviously flow water to shower booth. It worked fine for last 5 years until yesterday. Yesterday I had to drain all water out from the tank in order to replace a pipe valve in the kitchen.
Then I turned on the shower...

Hey when fitting a tap supplied with flexis with a 1/2 female end. Do people screw them on to a iso valve or a male coupler 15mm x 1/2. I have used iso valves in the past but hear your not meant to as it doesn't have a flat surface for the washer to sit on.
Hi,
First off I apologise in advance for my complete lack of knowledge, so sorry if anything I ask sounds a bit daft!
I had a new kitchen fitted by a local company a few years ago, which included the installation of a new sink unit and tap. Ever since then the water pressure from the tap...

I have seen this done a few times lately, a flexi coming out of a tiled boxing connecting a WC cistern.
Nothing wrong with using a good quality flexi if fitted correctly, but this is just wrong.
Hi,
Can anyone advise whether installing a loo using a flexible (corrgugted) waste through a 270 degree change in direction (3 90 degree bends) is a good idea?
The distance from loo to soil stack is approximately 800mm
Thanks
Hey do many people use flexi's when piping a bath up, have always used copper but am tempted to start using flexi's for speed. But abit put of the the fact the 3/4 to 15mm flexis only have a 10mm bore.
Hi Friends
i did 2 jobs today.
First was to replace a mixer tap with a Brita filter tap. Got the old mixer off ok, assembled the Brita ok and fitted it. The issue was that the flexi connectors were long and kinked. I got the cold on ok but the hot leaked from the isolation valve. Put a bit of...
i thought i add fuel to the flexi fire!!!!!
called to one of my regular custards as there as here bathroom flooded = on investigation someone (NOT ME) had fitted this flexi with integrated iso valve ( wrong way round mind) and one day it decided to split - big time!!!!!
not against flexis...
Anyone know if there is a special tool or spanner for undoing monoblock tap flexi connectors. These taps have a hollow body where the flexis screw in. Cannot undo by hand as the flexis just twist.
I think I need something like a mini 'L' shaped tap wrench!
Anyone else come across this problem?
.....I've seen too many of them burst especially the cheap imported ones to place any confidence in them at all. One was on the counter in PTS today being returned as it had burst and had a quarter inch gash down the middle of it. I've seen perfectly installed ones with no kinks, twists or...
Hi I am needing to connect new basin tails to existing flexi hoses, the flexis are buried behind tiles so I only have access to the 22mm female ends that connected to the old taps. Can I remove the nut and olive from one side of two isolation valves then connect the old female ends of the flexis...
