Here is a section of the edl's mission statement taken from there on website.

Everyone of the crimes listed are committed by some members of every race and religion on the planet. But yet the edl specifically aim there hatred towards only Muslims committing these acts.

So how can anyone who joins them not be classed as racist? Please don't try and say its a religious thing and therefore its not racist because that's a smokescreen.

But i dont see the issue with what there doin ? I actually am glad ! I think the tier system needs to go and intergration to take place ! They are focusing on muslims etc but thats because its the fastest growing is it not ?

Im not saying there not racist etc theres always a racist in there somwhere in EVERY GROUP ! Im just saying what they are fighting for is good ! I cant remeber the last neo nazi group protesting ? Burning stuff ? Wishing police going to hell ? Telling kids there dads are murders ?

Or getting an 8 year old boy to stand up on a stage and wouldnt let him off the stage till he repeted god is a muslim or somthin !

Yes but how can you approach the situation without saying radical islam ? You cant just get up and say we need to rid this country of those people and when sombody says who or what people ? You just say you know who ! Call them radical and then you all jump on and say tar eith same brush !

Anyway i guess another sad and pathetic thing to come out of this is that help for heroes wont except any of the money raised by the EDL or its protesters ! There a charity i think they need to remeber that !

Answer me this Zeb, I was at the American Embassy on 9/11 2 years ago with the EDL, we weren't allowed anywhere near it to hold a minutes silence and lay a wreath, yet the Muslims waving their black flags were allowed outside, that's right, directly outside the embassy to Burn an American flag, and shout venom and hate about America and Britain!

a member of the EDL tried to walk through, calm as a Hindu cow, to lay a wreath and he was ARRESTED! I didn't read this, I didn't watch it online, I witnessed it with my own eyes!

You won't see one, simply because they won't interview somebody that would be able to express themselves and get their point of view in an understandable way. It doesn't make good telly, it's far easier to pick the one with his knuckles dragging on the floor that struggles to string three words together.

It all smacks of the 'Truman Show', life being edited on tv and social media so that the masses are pushed in a certain direction.

Our country is soft, there's no respect anymore and it seems to be just spiralling out of control.

I was born in Bradford and have seen racism first hand, but not racism as people see on the news but against whites. I personally don't believe racism or religion is the issue apart from individuals and groups hiding behind race and religion wreaking havoc.

Stripping away race and religion would make it far easier to deal with.

The new head of police domestic extremist units was condemned today after denying that the English Defence League was a right-wing extremist group.
Detective Chief Superintendent Adrian Tudway, who took over the role of national co-ordinator for domestic extremism last week, claimed police had to walk a "tightrope" when targeting small groups which they believe are bent on violence.
Senior officers have gone on the offensive following the student protests and the resulting occupation of 30 Millbank two weeks ago, saying that more resources are being invested in identifying potential "flashpoints of disorder."
Mr Tudway said his officers were focusing on the "fringe" where protest "spills over" into violence and disorder.
His comments came on the eve of tomorrow's wave of protests against rising university fees.
The National Public Order Intelligence Unit, National Domestic Extremism team and National Extremism Tactical Co-ordination Unit employ about 100 people with a budget of £8.1 million.
The police units, which are set to be integrated into the Met Police under a rebranding exercise, have come under fire for using intrusive surveillance tactics to identify hundreds of people who have attended protests and then sharing the information with other forces.
However Mr Tudway insisted that intelligence officials do not examine the work of trade or student unions and went on to say that the EDL was not an extreme right-wing group.
"The present particular challenge to us, constitutionally, is they are not extreme right-wing organisations," he said.
"On the one hand, they are seen by many as the single biggest threat to community cohesion in the UK, but they are most certainly not extreme right-wing organisations."
Communist Party of Britain general secretary Rob Griffiths said that "nobody should be fooled" by the claim that the police to not monitor trade unions and student groups.
"It is well known from recent history that the intelligence services disrupt trade unions and the peace movement by targeting socialist and communist activists within them and making this the excuse for spreading the net across the whole organisation," he said.
"If he does not know the fascist affiliations of leading and founder members of the English Defence League then we should club together and buy him a subscription to Searchlight magazine, where he would find these links set out in fine detail."
