hi lads,

I hope you are all well.
I just wanted to double check with you am I allowed to install a new combination boiler and a couple of rads with a u16 meter and pipesize not bigger than 35mm ?

As far as I know I am allowed up to and including 35mm.

Below is the gas meter with 2 anacondas which has to be changed too.

Regards

Ron

The pipework Ron you need to work out your volume
I haven’t been there yet. They said it supplies 2/3 cooler hobs for kitchen, boiler upstairs.

It’s a small restaurant / kind of brasserie to eat.

Based on experience I know I would not need more than 28mm pipe size

It’s currently the same pipe size which has short runs

It does get very confusing out there, a couple of times i have had to reassure a domestic ticket guy that he is OK to look at a boiler in a commercial setting. Even boiler manufacturers are stressing that their boiler can be installed and serviced on a domestic ticket, not mentioning the U65 meter and 50M of 3inch steel pipework,,,,
Its also confusing to me because i have installed a commercial boiler in a dwelling, i had to do it apparently because a domestic ticket holder could not install this commercial boiler, but i dont have a domestic ticket...... it left me a bit confused. I think when my renewal comes up i might just add the dom ticket so at least i am covered either way.
