I am a devoted worcester bosch installer and only install worcester but after trying for 12 months to become accredited and after 12 months being told I need to install 30 ish boilers a year to be accredited and have to wait until someone else gets kicked off it got me questioning why I fit worcester,

Then a comment that ray made about the kw is directly linked to the flow rate and KW is the main factor on combi's got me thinking even more, did some research and I like the Ideal boilers, for the same price as a 30kw worcester bosch boiler I can get a 40kw ideal combi boiler, which gives better flow,

I am also loosing out on jobs as customers are getting cheaperquotes with cheaper boilers!!

Then looking at the guarantee's the worcester's have 5 years as standard and the ideal +/plus have 7 years!!

Looking at benefits ideal give free gifts, free workwear, free training, free stationary, worcester give - nothing

So better flow rates
Cheaper prices
Better guarantees
better benefits

Why am I so loyal to worcester??

There are some people who say "I heard worcester are the best" but I bet these people went with a cheaper brand even after saying that as they offer a longer guarantee and are cheaper...

Got my first Ideal boiler arriving tommorow, will see how i get on with it, but can't find a reason to not fit them!!

I suppose only time will tell!!

They are taking the **** mate, I have to fit 6 vaillants to get on their list. 30 is just stupid, unless you're Stan and that's a weeks work 😉

Tell me about it, someone else who is quoting is offering 7 years guarantee so even the custards that are determined to have a Worcester, wont use me as I have shorter guarantee then every one else.

I have quoted 20-30 boilers in winter and only won the repeat custards business

I have historically always like Worcester but having just read this it makes me wonder, I have just fitted an Independent in my daughters (from a reputable merchant) and previously a heat only in my sons mainly because I was paying for them, but like you say you have to beg steal and borrow to get a good warranty from Worcester when Ideal give it freely,
ideal have another convert!

Yeah 15 minimum but they want you to be on the top level, which is 30+ a year, if there a lot in the area then they wont let you on unless you get 30+

oh and applied to Ideal yesterday to go on ideal connect, today I get login details!! Worcester took me 12 months to get nowhere!!

They know they can make you run around, I asked about it my way and was told theirs no chance unless someone pretty much kicks the bucket!
i would be happy to change manufacturer if the support was their.

Don't know if its true but Ideal say they answer phones quickly and give you loads of support, only time will tell!!

Tend to fit a mix of ideal and Intergas at the moment.

I dont like the look of intergas!! could be the best boiler ever but it is damn ugly!!!
