Gas hob connection

Just came across these on Williams site.
are these ok for a job, as it's not a solid piped connection?

It's new, and will at some time make a job so easy, just not sure when you have the smallest space behind a built under cooker that this will fit. Recently the BU cookers we have been fitting have only just enough room for a 15mm tube never mind a covered pipe.

The spec does say for static appliances it's not to be used on moveable appliances.

Am I missing something here. Some manus say it's ok to use a cooker hose with the installation of a hob, now this product. Surely the MIs outweigh any other decisions to make?? I agree we'll definitely find these installed wrongly but we'll always find other people thinking they know best or not adhering to mis

There was a tb on these a while back can't remember what no but it was in there

but guess it's the same as some mi say it's ok to use a cooker flex

Have to say I agree mate, I've never come across a hob that I can't hard pipe. It's obviously fine that Ray is selling it as he doesn't sell to Joe public but to me this is yet another example encouraging people to DIY gas work

The last one I looked at specifically said not to be piped on a flexible hose. Now surely this is in line with the manufacturers guidelines and as such should supersede anything else?

the problem is would you class trac pipe as flexible i wouldnt, but then thats my opinion

think the term flexible is meant for cooker hoses
