Am I missing something here. Some manus say it's ok to use a cooker hose with the installation of a hob, now this product. Surely the MIs outweigh any other decisions to make?? I agree we'll definitely find these installed wrongly but we'll always find other people thinking they know best or not adhering to mis
Have to say I agree mate, I've never come across a hob that I can't hard pipe. It's obviously fine that Ray is selling it as he doesn't sell to Joe public but to me this is yet another example encouraging people to DIY gas workStill trying to work out what the point is or why you would want to use one
But this is my point yes there is a part for it but unless the manufacturer says it's okay to use it on their product then the point is moot???
This is my point mate I had one of these little while ago in a landlord property whenever I find one on a cooker hose I always ring the manufacturers or try and find the installation manual. The last one I looked at specifically said not to be piped on a flexible hose. Now surely this is in line with the manufacturers guidelines and as such should supersede anything else?
Would you deem it as rigid though ? Yet another grey area eh mate :wink:
And I bet Gas Safe won't have an answer either
