Sorry I’ve posted about this before but now ready to order a radiator. These are 2 different calculations from 2 different sites. BTU 6005 from one site. BTU 4829 from another site, 4829 went through a lot more thorough questions, so I’m guessing the 4829 BTU is correct over the 6005.

Checked online and says I should calculate my reading T40 at btu 4829 and x it by 1.33 giving me btu reading 6422 at T50 that I should be looking for, would just like to know this is correct before ordering thanks

Would the new rad btu at dt50 7500 not be ok if the online calculator gave me my heat requirement Btu at dt40 4829? Thanks again

Ok. I just don’t understand why the online calculation says x’s the btu or the watts by 1.3 and that will give you the online calculation from T40 to T50 in BTU and Watts

Correct needs to be xy 1.3 eg
40/50 xy 1.3 that gives you your conversion factor eg 0.748
So 1600 / 0.748 =2,139.0374w at dt50
Or could I try match the output from my old rad. Would that be easier for me and might not need the calculation that I done online?
What temperature are you running you heating system at? What is the boiler flow temperature set to?

It was 600mm by 1200mm a double radiator type 22. Room is 7.2L /2.6W /2.6H with 8sqm of double glazing with plastic trim

If the radiator is slightly oversized it should not a problem as the controls for the heating system will restrict heat when the conditions are satisfied.
For example when your thermostat has reached the set temperature it will tell the boiler to turn off. TRV's (Thermostatic Radiator Valve) on the radiation would work on a similar controlling the heat around the radiator. When that are reaches the set temperature the valve closes.
