My boiler fsiled to fire up. Dismantled the burner, removed the nozzle, ultrasonically cleaned it and reassembled outside the boiler.
On start up, the jet looked fine. The igniter sparks satisfactorily.
However.
I can't reassemble it!
There is a ring through which the nozzle passes and is thus centralised. The ignitor electrodes will not pass through this ring preventing reassembly.
I installed it, have cleaned it a couple of times since but now can't reassemble it.
Is it just old age?
The centring ring has a gap in it which, at first sight, seems to offer a route in for the electrodes but it does not line up with the electrodes whose position is fixed. Likewise the electrode mounting cannot be adjusted as it is fixed.
Any experts able to offer help please.
The burner is by Nu-Way. ST40.
