I have had the following thermostatic shower installed:
Moods Round Shower
https://www.homesupply.co.uk/Moods-Round-Shower-Pack-2-with-Two-Outlet-Valve-and-Rigid-Riser-Shower-Kit-DICMP0036
The flow rate control on this shower is full on or off. Would it be possible to change this valve to...
Hi everyone,
I have a question about what happens when the incoming mains water valve with the arrow on it has water flowing backwards rather than forwards. For example the arrow on the water stop valve is pointing left but the water coming in is going right instead of left, would this pose as...
So bit of an odd one right.
I have 2 pipes, to the rad a flow/return.
I cut the flow/return and capped the flow.
I went to fill up the system, the water start to leak out the return.
Is that normal? Is the return really the flow?
Hi. First time poster.
I've just had a new bathroom fitted in my loft and am having an issue with noisy taps - modern mono mixer. Not water hammer, but when they are half on they make a noise that I find unacceptable, yet my plumber insists this is just the way it is. However, my other taps...
Hi guys,
I’m in the process of installing ecodan 8.5kw hybrid setup with my boiler existing boiler and a buffer tank. Heating zone 1 only (central heating )
I’ve been studying the manual and have had discussed plans with a local plumber to place pipes in for me.
I’m not sure with one part...
Fitted these new bathroom taps yesterday.
Hooked them up to 15mm pipe work which is on a gravity fed system.
Upon first use it was obvious the flow rate was much worse than the old taps.
Other than the taps themselfs, the only difference was that i had to fit a 15-10 mm reducer from the...
I had a new electrical water heater (Rheem) installed in our apartment - before it was inside the closet, but now we installed in the basement of the building. Due to the new layout, the main hot line is connected to a different point, near the laundry shut off. The old heater tank connection is...
Hi I've just purchased a TAS2000SR but once connected the flow rate dial doesn't seem to change the flow at all. Its completely the same no matter which way the dial is turned.
The only difference to my old AS2000XT is that I've located the new one TAS2000SR ~2m further away on the opposite...
I have a end terraced house. Boiler attached to concrete wall on the end of the terrace. There’s a copper pipe curved into the wall with maybe a 1-2cm gap. The water sometimes leaks onto the wall and I’m worried about the damage it might cause. The kitchen drains are on the other side so would...
Hi all,
I recently re pressured my mega flo, isolated water then drained water into tundish etc.
Turned on hot water tap and no water coming out. I turned on cold water two and the water pressure and flow is ok.
Does anyone know why there is no water coming out of the hot tap? Thanks
Afternoon all - We have a problem with very little/no cold water flow on the ground and first floor of our (fairly new build, 7 years old) 3 story town house. All flow is fine on the top floor and the hot water is unaffected and runs throughout the house.
It's an unvented, balanced system...
Hi guys.
I replaced an electric shower for a family member recently and on completion noticed how poor the pressure was. It wasn’t like this the week before when I initially looked at it. Apparently Severn Trent were in the area the following week to do some work. She’s now saying that the...
I have a pretty standard hand held shower head. The C-bracket holding it up to the mount is cracked. I searched "shower arm mount" on amazon and got plenty of hits but none of them have the adjustable flow rate feature I want.
Any recommendations?
Hi, I have a question related to NHBC flow rate standards. Does this standard apply when using a flow regulator? I have a new building without sufficient water flow while using the outlets simultaneously. But the builder insists that it is according to NHBC guidelines and the low flow is because...
Just had a lovely Viessmann 222-F installed along with a HUGE 5.5kw triple panel radiator, almost next to it, to heat three rooms knocked into one.
If I open the large rad valve enough to heat the large room (I’m guessing that) the return temp to the boiler is quite high, and the boiler is...
Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding the flow and temperature on a thermostatic mixer shower. The water set from the combi boiler is hot in the kitchen, the bath hot water tap is quite warm and when I reduce the flow by turning the tap half way the water gets hotter.
My shower has been...
