Hi all,
On my current job (plumbing ,CH/HW) for a loft conversion on a first floor maisonette. I was planning on adding a water accumalator to improve pressure and flow rate. which is looking like a no go due to cost.
I think the route we are going to take is to increase the water main size...
Hi all hope some one can help,
i have fitted a tee a salamander negative head pump to a customers house about 3 years ago, it ran fine untill the last 3 months but now after every shower the second error light comes on, I have fitted a new pressure vessel and it already has a salamander flange...
Hi. My shower head as got blocked up with limescale. I've poked pins in all the holes, soaked it in vinegar, painted it with Kilrock etc and still sections do not produce water.

Any clues as to how to take this apart?

Hi all.
I'm putting a new kitchen in my flat and being an old Georgian building nothing is square or level.
I measured the kitchen but obviously didn't allow enough tolerance as my dishwasher is super tight.
The dish washer measures 600mm wide and 550deep.
My void for it is 600mm (so ok)...
I have deck mounted bath taps with a separate shower hose to install. The shower head comes with a drainage box which is mounted underneath the deck to re-route any water that runs down the hose into the waste. Is this essential?? Space is very limited and I may not even have space to drill all...
In our UFH I have noticed that 2 actuators are in the wrong position. When the stat for a room is calling for heat 2 actuators open but 1 of them is to the wrong pipe so 2 need swapped over.
Would they simply screw off or clip off?
Is this something I could do myself or would I need to get...
Have a 2400sqft house built in 2000 with not great design if I'm totally honest. Large open planned living, dining, kitchen (75sq meters). Large windows and French doors and not great insulation. I'll be separating living area from dining/kitchen with double doors. I'm getting walls pumped next...
Hi guys,
Having difficulty removing this tap head to replace the washer.
No visible seam to remove the cap looks like a one piece but I can't be sure.
Any advice on what to try.
Hi sorry if this ain't allowed I just thought one of our resident pro's may want this pump before I stick it on fleabay,
Shes in perfect working order , only removed as I fitted a whole house pump instead of just a single pumped shower.
Fitted with an incredibly long cable.
Make me an offer...
I took my broken TRV head into my local plumbers hoping to get a replacement one. They said they couldn't get me one. I would think I could buy one on the net but can someone identify this head so I know what to look for please?
HI Guys,
Does anyone know where I can buy a 3/8 square head, long T bar stopcock key? My village has quite a few smaller valves in the street and I'm sick of having to call out the water company every time I need to fix a stopcock.
Hi,
I am not a plumber! I'm pretty good at DIY and I learn quickly but my dad always told me not to mess with electricity, gas or plumbing and dad's always right of course.
I live in Malta but am English and need advise from proper plumbers who know what they're doing instead of the cowboys...
Hi,
This tap is dripping so I'm trying to take it apart to replace the washer but I can't work out how to get the head off the tap. Can anyone advise me please? I took the C for cold plate off expecting to find a screw head but there isn't one. There isn't a little screw on the side of the tap...
Called to an 18 month old Vision 30C earlier with poor hot water. Hot water luke warm at best showing a max of 35 deg on boiler display. If slow tap to little more than a trickle the temp gets up around 60 deg eventually. No issues with heating.
Boiler fitted to an old back boiler heating system...
Does anyone know which negative head shower pump can be fitted almost level with the base of the cold water storage tank? I am looking to try and fit one but I don't have much space. I think Stuart turner pumps normally ask for it to be about 500mm below the bottom of the tank?
Hello, I am wondering if you can help! We have a square rainfall shower head and there is a green gunk forming where the connection from the arm to the actual shower head is, which is causing the shower to stop working. I understand this may be a build up of limescale etc. but I rigorously clean...

Hi Guys,
I serviced my boiler (Worcester Dansmoor 15/19 CF/FL with Riello RDB1 burner) last month and everything got a clean bill of health. At least that was what I thought. When the burner is going full blast I have no problem. But when it stops (or when I switch off the boiler) I start...
