I live in pattaya, thailand. just moved into a condo. a few days after moving in, I started smelling sewer gas coming from underneath my kitchen sink. I asked the landlord to fix it. but he has ignored me for a week now. so, I'm thinking I need to resolve this myself or move out. mind you...
My kitchen sink drain became blocked and, while unblocking it with a plunger and lots of water, I saw the dirty water leak from behind drywall about 6 feet away from sink. I had previously noticed a smell from the same area and dampness on the drywall.
So I cut open the drywall and find an open...

Anyone coming across these tap fixing components. I'm struggling to find a box spanner to fit. The nut is about 33-34 mm between flats. New install and as far as I can see nothing apart from a box spanner will tighten this. Unless you have the opportunity fit before installing sink.
hi
as our separate hot tap is dripping contacted Bristan to ask what washer to get as heard that depending on date bought, washers either rubber or fibre. Bristan said that they do not supply individual washers but only complete valve assemblies. sure that I have seen Bristan washers on the...

Hi. DIY guy here, not a plumber of any experience.
I would be grateful for constructive critique of the drainage design presented by this diagram, accompanied by the following notes and questions:

Hi all, I am hoping someone can advise on this.....bought a 1.5 bowl sink a while ago from B&Q but never got around to fitting it.
Now decided to fit it in my utility room but upon having a look at it the smaller of the two bowls appears to have a rectangular slotted waste exit in the bottom as...
I am going to be fitting a Franke Fuji tap at my daughter’s. The tap comes with the hot and cold flexible tails, the hot has a standard nut and rubber washer on the end for connecting to a male compression fitting but the cold has a different end ( I think because it has a non return valve...
I need to replace an old leaking kitchen tap at a rental property and having fitted one of these before I've decided to go for the Cooke and Lewis mono mixer from Screwfix, which comes with 356mm flexible tales and a G 1/2" end:

Hi
I need to replace both hot/cold taps as they have done 20 years service, I looked at various sites and the thread size is quoted as "G1/2" now the dumb bit, is this referring to the copper pipe size thats fits into the tap or is it the external thread size f the tap.
Thanks for any info.

Every time I walk into the kitchen, I see a drip on the end of the tap. I remove the drip, to discover another drip on the end of it after about couple of hours. Now, is there a...
There seems to be a big shortage of duel flow kitchen taps, I know the trend is towards combis but there is still a lot of flats/bungalows with poor hot water pressure which means you need a duel flow tap.
Any one got a good supplier of them?
Thanks
Do I need an anti-siphon valve for a dedicated outdoor Kitchen water supply ... supply comes from the house, out the brick wall next a spigot.
Seems overkill ! ... is there a freeze protection rational for it ?
Hello again Guys
I've just had a new kitchen install. The fitters tapped into the overhead 15mm hot and cold that feeds the Utility Room 3.0m further on. The hot flow rate in the Utility Room (Monobloc taps) is 9.5 litres/min. In the new kitchen monobloc the flow rate is 4.5 litres/min, less...
Hi there. Have a carron mixer tap in kitchen the flow on the hot tap side has become very slow for no apparent reason. To almost a trickle...was never like that previously.
Hot tap in bathroom.upstairs is strong.
When I remove the connection under the sink the flow seems good and strong but...
Hi, I had a mixer tap installed a couple of years ago & the circlip at the back at the junction of the spout & mixer tap block wasn’t installed (either didn’t arrive with it or the plumber forgot to insert it). The tap works fine for day to day use, so I only discovered it was missing when I...
My kitchen mixer tap (Franke Zurich) has developed a drip. Presumably the cartridge (hot) has started to wear out. It is one that I replaced about 3 and half yrs ago for the same reason (not sure how old its predecessor was as we inherited it). Doesn't seem a particularly great lifespan, but I'm...
