I am thinking of moving the washing machine and tumble dryer to the cellar to create space in the kitchen.
The cellar ceiling is abou 2 ft above ground level - there is a window.
Now there is a water pipe so getting a connection for that shouldn't be an issue.
The cellar runs below the...

Hello! DIY noob hear asking for advice on a leak from an air break.
My undersink plumbing is a mess of pipes handling washing machine, dishwasher, and boiler condensate.
When the washing machine runs, the air break overflows. The dishwasher is on too, the problem is worse. This used to happen...
Hi there,
I have an F05 error code on my hotpoint washing machine and think it related to a blockage.
Would anyone know how I can go about checking to see where the blockage is?
I assume I need to switch off my water from mains before I check?
Thank you!
from photo, are the two stand pipes ok, do they need traps? Would one stand pipe be better, does that need a trap, does it need an air valve? Is the upturn on waste pipe acceptable. Intermittent problems with smell.
hi, i have a 40mm boss connection at the top of a horizontal soil stack that runs in the room. I'm intending to put a washing machine stand pipe at the end of this.
I also have a Vaillant ecotec pro 28 boiler next to where the washing machine will sit and was hoping to get the GSR to reroute...

I’ve got a hot and cold supply in a laundry cupboard. I’m moving the washing machine out and want to install a wash hand basin in the room. Can I utilise the existing washing machine taps and simply fit the flexi tails to them? Thanks in advance!
Hi, I have a new Beko integrated washing machine (4 months)that we’ve had to remove and put back in due to a flood below the floor. Ever since the appliance had been loudly squeaking on spin cycle like it’s rubbing. The space is tight but obviously was fine before and it has a water level at the...
Hey guys.
What's the best way to absorb washing machine vibrations?
It's currently on a suspended floor and sounds like a rocket take off.
I've got lots of polystyrene I could put underneath to absorb vibrations or any other material you could recommend.
Many thanks
Hi all
I have a washing machine plumbed in next to a built in dishwasher but have an issue with the waste outlet for the washer.
the problem I have discovered (as I did not plumb both in) is that when the dishwasher is in place, it is crushing the washer waste pipe. See photos below.
Because...

Hello.
My father in law has just moved into a new place, and noticed his washing machine was filling up with water. I guessed it was coming back in from the waste pipe so fitted an angled connection to stop the sink water finding its way up and in so to speak. Anyways hes getting a new washing...

Hi all,
I hope you can help. I’ve recently moved into a property and have connected my washing pipe, and it’s washing fine, but leaving my under sink shelves soaked. I think it’s coming from the water source (pictured) and not the waste water pipe. It looks to be screwed on tight so not sure...
Hi,
Hopefully this is an easy fix......
I have moved into a house and some of the work is 'interesting', things you never see when looking originally. Our latest problem is that the sink fills with water when the washing machine empties and also when you empty the adjacent 0.5 sink. The...
When my washing machine pumps out, after about 20 seconds, water starts overflowing out of the top of the downpipe behind the cupboard. I have removed that waste pipe, the ubend and the 90' connector to the off white connection to the down pipe from the sink waste pipework, and there is no...
