Hello, I need to disconnect my washing machine for several days however i am confused on how to turn off the cold water flow to the washing machine. I have taken a photo. There is no lever from what i can see. Do anyone know what i need to do with this?
Hi all. We are trying to install a new washing machine in our home. The previous owners had a slot for a washing machine. We noticed that there is only one hose in the wall. I would have expected an inlet for fresh water and an outlet to drain away dirty water. Image attached. How do we use this...
Hi,
I'm attempting to install a washing machine for the first time ... am I right in thinking the cold only fill hose attaches above the little blue lever? - I just undo that brass cap? Thanks for any advice.
(I live in the UK so if supplying products please sugest UK items - many thanks)
I need some advice on how to fit a Washing machine/Dishwasher. Any feedback/ideas would me much appreciated.
Currently the sink is set up with one of these dual sink wash traps (see image or link at the bottom of...
Should it be possible to add a couple of washing machine style tee valves in the middle of these copper pipes?
Forgive the basic question, but I am an inexperienced home owner. Thinking of giving it a try myself today.
Would this risk reducing our tap water flow from the pipes continuing...
Hi, first time on this forum but I could use some washing machine waste advice.
My brother and I are redecorating our entire house, including the rather small kitchen. We'd like to move the washing machine which is currently in the kitchen to make room for a dishwasher.
An ideal location for...
Hi,
We live in a rented property and have recently started having an issue with the kitchen sink. When we using the sink the water drains straight into the washing machine, when the washing machine is on the water bubbles up into the sink. We have tried various unblockers, a drain blaster and a...
Hi, we've just moved into our first house and I'm trying to install a new washing machine. however between the machine and the sink is an integrated dishwasher. This is making it extremely difficult to install. To make matters worse, the inlet tap for the washing machine is so tight to the...
Currently the Dishwasher has it's own waste outlet to the outside, the sink and Washing Machine share one.
Designing a new kitchen we will have all of them sharing one waste outlet - is this do-able or full of problems?
Looking for some opinions on whether something is wrong with our plumbing under the kitchen sink plumbing.
Basically, whenever the washing machine drains we get a flow up into the kitchen sink of the waste water along with dirt from inside the pipe. We've had Homeserve plumbers out and they...
Morning,
can you someone please help me. I'm looking to install a dishwasher.
picture attached is the current setup. from what I can see there is only one cold water supply and waste pipe, which is currently used for the washing machine.
What do I need, to be able to adapt this to allow...
I've done a good few but this one is super-tight and on bare floorboards so could get stuck. What do you guys use to make pushing it in easier? Bit of ply or something?
We've been having issues with our washing machine recently where it is filling up in the drum overnight with clean water.
I just went to look underthe sink to check (actually don't know what I was checking for!) anyway I knocked a small blue lever about 1/4 turn and all this water came gushing...
Got to plumb outlet from washing machine into open vertical length of 110mm plastic pipe at floor level. Any suggestions for best way of doing this? Presume I'll need a trap? Use 40mm stand pipe and u-bend? How best to join to 110mm and cap the 110 pipe?
Have recently had a new sink fitted. The trap (is that the right word?) underneath the old sink allowed for connections from the waste outlets on both the washing machine and the dishwasher but the new fitting has only provided one outlet, currently connected to the washing machine (far right on...
Hello. I need to run my washing machine waste outside, underground and connect to my soil sewer. I have enough fall into the sewer but where it goes underground around my conservatory for about 20 metres the pipe will remain full of waste water. Is that permitable or is there a solution?
Hi guys.
I'm going to put my washing machine adjacent to my bathroom.
The path of least resistance to plumb the waste pipe would be under the bath tub.
Is this allowed?
If yes, would there be any issues with the bathtub draining slower or the washing machine waste coming up into the bath tub...
Hi all,
I want to put the washing machine in the garage but will need to do the pipework. The only water pipe going into the garage is the one for the combi boiler, which is also in the garage. Would it be ok to come off the water pipe for the boiler?
Thanks for reading
Hello
I’m new to this site but hoping someone can throw some light on a difficult problem on kitchen drainage.
This is in my father-in-law’s 4th floor flat in Paris, in a modern block (1990’s)
The roots of the problem are multiple.
Really poor installation with an almost horizontal run of...
Hi all,
This is my first post, had no option but ask more experienced people before making expensive mistake.
I would like to put my WM on opposite side of a sink where waste pipe goes at present. I will have enough space to put tall pipe and p trap behind WM. I am planning to use 40mm pipe...
