Hi all can anyone give me any advice on how do i go about this following! i have a fairly new boiler from British gas in the last 3 years it heats around 13 radiators in total i also live in a stone properrty with obviously no cavity wall insulation minute i turn heating off rooms cool down very quickly! i do have double glazing! i also have 2 Multi fuel fires (Hunter Heralds) a 6 and a 8! i want to look into getting a back boiler on the big 8 and link it to the radiators by a Hetas engineer is it? so my fire heats the radiators but how does this happen when it is apparantly has to be linked via the new boiler or does it? whats the procedure and what costings roughly am i looking at as it is a converted loft with radiators in also so cant really put insolation in loft as theres just a bit in the eaves but this house is freezing and its costing me a fortune to run! any advice would be appreciated in advance thanks:dizzy2:

if you have a converted loft thats cold, you need to get it insulated properly, celotex insulation should have gone into the eaves to start with and if done properly most loft convesions are warmed from heat rising before you need the rads on. linking fire to boiler can be done with right kit, cost dependant on work required. pointless tho if you have no insulation which would be my priority. take some advice locally first good luck

I have a question for you.

This will probably be very expensive to do, do you still want to do it?

I hear the same question from my customers and 99% of them very quickly go off the idea when they realise it's more than a couple of hindred quid to do the job properly and safely.
