Evening gents after a bit of advice looked at a job earlier 5 showers in a changing room normal thermostatic controls, wants to change to just on/off controls. Here was what i was thinking 28mm blending valve coming off two single impeller Stuart Turner pumps then into each push button valve then up to head. The bloke i spoke to said that they need a legonalla certificate and heres were i get a little lost, the showers will only be used during cricket season so water is gonna sit there during winter but the water also supplies the bar/toilets next in the clubhouse so not all water will be stagnent. I was thinking lever valevs to isolate the shower valves at season end and drain down all the valves would that stop any chance of legonalla growing.

Anybody with experiance in clubroom shower areas would be great thank

Alex

There should be a Legionella regime in place. This involves running all outlets at specific intervals depending on what the Legionella Risk Assessment has stated.
The risk assessment will state that they must be ran for a period of time periodically (e.g once a week) and the showerheads will have to be cleaned (e.g monthly). This will be for the club to organise.

Thanks CES was involved on a job once before were the showers ran for a period of time at a set time apart to help it but cant find any nfo on it,but if its the club who should be sorting out all there risk assesments maintance plans for Legionella thats one less thing for me to worry about. Bristan 28mm commercical blending valve £1200 i nearly fell over in the merchants
